Working with a Website Design Business

This business has some extremely talented individuals working there and don't take my word for it go to their website and see examples of their work for yourself at www.h22solutions.com Happily not only are they talented  but also great guys to work with and I enjoyed photographing them in their office and meeting room as they discussed their next project. I am sure there will be additional members of the team in the near future and I look forward to seeing the business develop and grow.

Networking events at the Nottingham Playhouse

I was commissioned by a marketing company to photograph a series of their monthly networking meetings at Nottingham Playhouse over the course of five months. I had been attending these events to meet potential clients before being commissioned so I knew the drill. I really enjoyed being there as a photographer and photographing for the two hours. The Playhouse can throw up some interesting lighting issues in different parts of the space the meeting, networking and presentations took place but it's all in a day's work and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Nottingham Trent University Annual Green Academy Awards

I was so pleased to be asked for the third year running to photograph the NTU Green Academy Awards. The students come to study at NTU from all over the world and their commitment to sustainability and caring for the environment is really inspiring. Their innovative ideas for long term sustainable development is a testament to NTU's own work in the Green Academy to embed education for sustainable development across the curriculum of the whole University. Listening to the students, some of whom share their project ideas, and learning how they are choosing to make a difference, gives me encouragement that there is hope for future generations. These young people have a deep understanding that we simply need to care more for our environment and each other. The room is always buzzing with much laughter, positive energy and a sense of accomplishment and it is wonderful to get to witness the emergence of such talented individuals who will hopefully embark on rewarding and challenging careers in the years ahead. Well done Green Academy graduates of 2017!

Annual Conference at The Council House

I'm playing catch up here as it's been a very busy start to the year and I've neglected my blog posts - I know - shame on me!

This was a fantastic annual event jointly run by Nottinghamshire Police, Nottingham City Council, NottinghamCounty Council, Nottingham NHS Trust, Nottingham Fire Service, West Notts College and Nottingham City Homes. This was the third year these organisations worked together to organise an LGBT+ conference for their employees and I was commissioned to record the day. Here are some of the speakers on the day. Deputy Chief Constable Adrain Hanstock, British Transport Police, Councillor Toby Neal, Nottingham City Council, Councillor Micheal Payne, Gedling Borough Council and Chief Constable Sue Fish, Nottinghamshire Police.

Launch of new Nottingham offices for digital marketing company

I was commissioned by a digital marketing company to photograph the launch of their third office in the UK. The launch was at Antenna in Nottingham city centre and they had a number of interesting speakers attend the event. These included Shane Cahill from Google, as well as Clicky’s MD Sam Gadsby, plus talks from further local Nottingham experts at Fat Free Media, VR Med, Tech Nottingham and D2N2 Growth Hub. They are a great company to work with I'm looking forward to collaborating with them on future projects.

Headshots for East Midlands Speech Therapists

This speech therapy practice continues to grow every year so I'm called in for headshots whenever new staff are appointed and these two women were a delight to work with. Of course it's wonderful to be trusted to do a great job and have the work but I'm also really pleased to work with a business that's doing so well and offer such a great service to the young people they work with. Every time I go back I have to find my way to new offices because they've outgrown their last ones. What a great position to be in!

Headshots

My subject, Gerard Savage of HomeXperts, was a little nervous about having his photo taken as he didn't think he ever looked good in photographs. It was wonderful to receive his positive feedback and hear that he was overjoyed with the images I sent over for him to use on his website and social media.

Product shots for Crowe's chilli sauces

I had a wonderful time working with Alessandra Crowe recently on new product shots for her chilli sauces and some shots of her working in her kitchen. The inevitable white background shots are a must for all e-commerce but I also had some fun in using a friend's garden to do some more interesting outdoor shots which showed off her sauces against lovely vibrant herbs and vegetables.
